A Little Cold Early Today, Sunny And Mild This Afternoon

Weather Update: Monday, March 17 —

Good Morning West Tennessee. Surface high pressure dominates the forecast overall today. It is a maritime-Pacific air mass, cool and moist. Calm winds an temps in the upper 20s this morning meant widespread frost to start. Temps will be slow to climb, but a gradual warming trend is expected today as center of High Pressure slides from Jackson, MS –> Montgomery, AL. That movement will allow winds to veer more out of the south by mid-late afternoon and push the temps into the low 60s today. By the way that is the average high for this week anyways. Average low should be around 40, so that was a little abnormal to start. It won’t b nearly as cold tonight as lows dip into the upper 40s.
