South Side Jaidynn Askins and USJ Haylen Ayers win Miss Basketball
Breaking news as it was announced earlier today by TSAA that we officially
have two miss basketball winners. Both South side Jaidynn Askins and USJ Haylen Ayers
brought home the award. First let’s start with class 3A winner South side lady hawk Jaidynn Askins.
She averaged 15 points per game,6.8 Rebounds and 3 assist. While also making all district and all state
tournament team, has 5 double doubles, over 1,000 career
points, a state championship and a Murray state commit.
Then we have USJ class division II-A winner Haylen Ayers
who averaged 22 points per game,8 rebounds and 4 assists.
She was an all district and region player, a team USA invite,
Naismith preseason watchlist, TSWA all state, multiple
division 1 offers, a state champion,
Gatorade Tennessee player of the year and oh yeah I forgot
to mention.This is her second year in a row winning the award
she has gone back to back. Congrats to both of these bright
young student athletes.
