Crockett County mayor shares updates on improvements, future developments
ALAMO, Tenn. — One local county mayor shares the direction and improvements that are projected to be made over the year.
Crockett County Mayor Gary Reasons is entering his 4th term as mayor. He shares that he’s proud of the progress his county continues to make.
Recently, the county has applied for a grant with the Tennessee Department of Transportation for new sidewalks leading into the city court house. The county also received a grant to provide mental health services for opioid users in the county.
“Not having a hospital here in Crockett County — we’re basically a mobile hospital with our ambulance services. We’re a small county, yesterday they ran 17 calls. So, they stay quite busy; not only our ems, our law enforcement and first responders,” said Mayor Reasons.
As for the county budget, the county is purchasing two new patrol cars and one new ambulance.
