Jackson Fire Department kicks off recruitment event

JACKSON, Tenn. — Residents were invited to the Jackson Fire Department for a recruitment event Wednesday.

The evening started with an instructional session going over multiple topics including the hiring process, work schedules and benefits. Afterwards recruits were able to experience live fire demonstrations and a vehicle extrication exercise.

They also held a Q&A for the attendees.

For anyone curious about being a firefighter, they will hold another event this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
