The indictment alleges that between September 2019 and June 2024, Dr. Kumar enticed and induced patients to travel interstate to his Memphis clinic, where he subjected them to unlawful sexual activities. Additionally, he is accused of performing medically unnecessary gynecologic procedures using improperly reprocessed medical devices intended for single use, without informing patients. These actions have potentially exposed patients to significant health risks.
