Authorities seek suspect in $100K+ burglary from Haywood County

PRESS RELEASE FROM THE HAYWOOD COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE:

On Monday, 10 March 2025, the Haywood Co. Sheriff’s Office issued arrest warrants in connection with a burglary of a shop located on Van Buren Rd in Haywood Co. The incident was reported to authorities on 22 July 2024. Three subjects entered the shop at the property and stole two side-by-sides, a safe and all its contents, batteries, boat fuel tanks, gas cans, and other items with a total approximate value in excess of $ 111,000.00.

Through a Crimestoppers tip, security video from the shop, and other investigations, HCSO investigators issued arrest warrants for James O’Dell “Jamie” Kirkpatrick (age 46) and Timothy Kirkpatrick (age 37), both from Lauderdale County, for burglary and theft of property between $ 60,000.00 and $ 250,000.00.

James O’Dell Kirkpatrick is already in the Haywood Co. Jail, in connection with his arrests for his participation in the irrigation theft conspiracy, and a separate burglary on Sulphur Springs Rd. Timothy Kirkpatrick is wanted by the Haywood Co. Sheriff’s Office on warrants issued in this investigation.
