Dates set for 5th annual Tennessee River Rendezvous

SALTILLO, Tenn. — Mark your calendars! The 5th annual Tennessee River Rendezvous is coming up.

The rendezvous will be April 11 and 12 in Saltillo and consists of living history demonstrations and much more. The event is family friendly and there is free parking and admission to all daytime events.

There’ll be cavalry demonstrations, World War II vehicle rides, craft and food vendors, a 1940s ice cream bike, and more.

“What our intentions are with the rendezvous is to be able to educate true history. We don’t sugarcoat it, we don’t try to do things that’s not accurate to the time and we like to let everyone have fun doing it,” said Mike Fields, founder and event organizer.

Historical representatives from 27 different states are making their way to West Tennessee to be part of this event.
