Nonprofit foundation aims to raise awareness about COPD

JACKSON, Tenn. — In the United States, more than 16 million people have been diagnosed with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease or COPD, and millions more may be living undiagnosed.

COPD is a progressive lung condition that causes breathing difficulties, chronic cough and can severely impact quality of life.

Despite its widespread impact, COPD remains a significant health challenge, with limited disease-modifying treatments currently available.

Each november, the COPD Foundation and its community plan a month of activities to increase awareness of COPD.
