Augustine School holds monthly “Mommy and Me” reading event

JACKSON, Tenn. — A local school welcomes the community for a special, spring-themed event.

Augustine School of Jackson hosted their “Mommy and Me” event Monday morning. The gathering featured the reading of a story, a themed craft and yummy snacks.

“Mommy and Me” is a monthly event that welcomes in mothers and young children in the community to enjoy a morning together.

“Today’s story was Sally Lloyd-Jones’ ‘Bunny’s First Spring’ and we try to theme things to each season so, right now it’s spring, so we had a spring-themed craft where they decorate a bunny, a little spring scene that our lower school art teacher put together,” said Keely Beasley, director of marketing for Augustine School.

Augustine’s next and final “Mommy and Me” event of the school year is coming up on Monday, April 28.
