Jackson police searching for murder suspect
PRESS RELEASE FROM THE JACKSON POLICE DEPARTMENT:
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Jackson Police Department needs the public’s assistance with locating a First Degree Murder suspect, Demetrius Keeon Moore. Moore, age 22, is wanted by the Jackson Police Department for First Degree Murder and other felony charges stemming from a shooting that occurred in Jackson, TN on 05/14/2024.
On 05/14/2024 at around 7:21 pm, Demetrius Keeon Moore was involved in a shooting on Dr. FE Wright Drive in Jackson, TN where he actively shot into the victim’s vehicle that was in front of him all while traveling south on Dr. FE Wright Drive. At least four individuals occupied the victim’s vehicle at the time of the shooting.
The victim’s vehicle ran off the road before wrecking into a ravine in the woods. This shooting resulted in the death of a 17 year old, Jerquavious Greer, who sustained multiple gunshot wounds. A thirteen-year-old male passenger also sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
