West TN mother still seeking answers 4 years after her son’s death
BOLIVAR, Tenn. — One mother is telling her story after her son’s homicide four years ago remains unsolved.
Pamela Harris of Bolivar is looking to find explanations for her sons untimely death. The Bolivar Police Department is offering a $5,000 cash reward for information into Montreal Harris’s death.

“Don’t want my son’s case to go unsolved and I do this everyday. I don’t want my son’s case to go unsolved. I don’t want it swept up under the rug. All I want is justice and peace for my son,” said Pamela.
Montreal Harris, 33, was murdered four years ago in 2021 on South Madison Street. In January of 2024 U.S. Marshals captured a West Tennessee murder fugitive in Murfreesboro. According to his mother, that suspect was let go due to insufficient evidence.
Now she just wants anyone with answers.
“Everybody loved him and I didn’t realize that until the day they had the balloon release. It was amazing to see all the people at the park. I didn’t know my son touched their lives like this, and they had good stuff to say about him and that’s what made me feel so good,” said Pamela.

We reached out to the Bolivar Police Department who tells us this is still an open case and they don’t have any further comments to provide at this time. We also reached out to District Attorney Mark Davidson’s office and are awaiting a call back.
“When they took my son they took me. They took a part of me. Like I said that was my baby. My only son,” said Pamela.
Harris’s mother says she’s taking it one day at a time and most importantly, he leaves behind his son to continue his legacy.
“He’s so much like his dad that when I get in my feelings I have to facetime him just to see him, but he’s so much like his dad. I’m pretty sure closure would be a lot. It would be better for him too,” said Pamela.
