Community Foundation of West Tennessee activates Disaster Relief Fund
PRESS RELEASE FROM THE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF WEST TENNESSEE:
JACKSON, Tenn. – In response to the devastating weather events on April 2, 2025, into April 3, 2025, the Community Foundation of West Tennessee has activated its Disaster Relief Fund to support residents and areas affected by the storms. Community Foundation leadership will work with local governments and community agencies to aid those impacted.
“The devastation caused by the recent severe weather, including flooding and tornadoes, across our service area is heartbreaking. Our thoughts are with everyone impacted,” said Beth Koffman, Chief Operating Officer for the Community Foundation. “We are taking swift action by activating our disaster relief fund. This will allow our partner agencies and other emergency leaders to direct donations as we work together to help our communities recover and rebuild.”
The Disaster Relief Fund was first established in response to the 1999 tornadoes that hit Madison County. Donations can be made on the Community Foundation’s website at www.cfwtn.org. In the “I want to support” drop down, donors can select “Disaster Relief.”
