Hub City Flea Market canceled due to severe weather, flooding
PRESS RELEASE FROM THE HUB CITY FLEA MARKET:
JACKSON, Tenn. – The organizers of the Hub City Flea Market announce the cancellation of this weekend’s event, originally scheduled for April 5th and 6th at the Jackson Fairgrounds Park, due to forecasts of severe weather and potential flooding.
The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Warning for Madison County, with heavy rain and thunderstorms expected to cause significant flash flooding, damaging winds, and possible tornadoes starting Saturday afternoon and continuing into Sunday. Flooding is anticipated to persist, rendering some roads impassable through early next week.
The safety of our vendors, visitors, and staff is our top priority. Given the hazardous conditions forecasted, we believe canceling the event is the most responsible course of action.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate the understanding of our community. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the Hub City Flea Market next month.
Please stay tuned to our official channels and local news outlets for updates on future.
