Local road closures announced due to flooding
JACKSON, Tenn. — Multiple agencies in West Tennessee have announced road closures due to flooding. Officials remind residents that water on roads can be deeper than it appears, and it only takes a small amount to sweep a vehicle away — turn around, don’t drown.
Carroll County
On April 5, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office reported flooding on:
- Main Street near Forrest Avenue
- 2860 Hwy 436
- 3950 Clarksburg Rd
- 2720 Maytown Rd
- Brewer Rd in Lavinia, TN is closed.
- Spring Creek Rd, Pond Branch Rd, McKee Levee Rd
- Mayo Bottom SR-22 between Huntingdon and McKenzie on the McKenzie side.
- Sink Hole on SR 423 between SR 76 and SR 22 in McKenzie
