Special-called board meeting held in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Tenn. — A special-called board meeting was held Monday evening in Lexington where city leaders took up a few items on their agenda.

It was a relatively brief meeting. One item that was discussed of approving a beer permit for a new pizza restaurant to operate. That was approved by the board.

Another item dealt with discussing and approving a ballot measure relative to term limits.

Leaders say this issue would require a change to the city’s charter, so the item was instead tabled for now.
