According to a post on his businesses Facebook page and from his close friends, Jackson photographer Mitch Carter died Tuesday. Carter worked for and later owned Moore Photography Studio on North Liberty Street in downtown Jackson.
Friends say as a business owner, he was a big supporter and a driving force for downtown Jackson businesses and photographed many of Jackson’s residents.
Back in 2021, Carter was honored as part of photography exhibit honoring his 50 plus years in business in connection to Jackson’s Bicentennial celebration.
There’s no immediate word on funeral arrangements at this time. His close friends tell us he will be greatly missed.
