What’s New Wednesday: Lazy Sunday Decor & Gifts

Lazy Sunday Decor & Gifts opened last October along Highway 412 in Bells.

Co-owned by Leah Sanders and Lainey Hays, the boutique offers a wide range of carefully-curated furniture, clothing, and gifts.

“I work really hard to have unique items, things that you don’t see all the time,” Sanders said. “I source from lots of different places.”

Visitors can shop everything from home décor, to baby items, to clothing and much more, with a mix of both new and vintage finds available to discover.

Sanders tells us that the building was formerly owned by her mother and previously known as The Squirrels Nest. After her mother’s retirement, Sanders was inspired to pick up where her mom left off.

“Continuing her legacy, I’ve definitely tried to keep all of the things that she taught me and kind of the experience that she created here, and just add on to that,” said Sanders.

And while “lazy” may be in the name, Sanders and Hays are hard at work to offer a welcoming environment where they can connect with customers and build relationships.

“It’s a little bit more than just ‘come shop.’ It’s kind of, come hang out, come see what we’ve got, come see what’s new, come see what I found in the back of a barn last week, or something like that, you know?” Sanders said. “Just to try to make it an experience, and make it a destination shopping experience.”

Lazy Sunday Decor & Gifts is located at 6253 Highway 412 South in Bells. Sanders says to keep an eye on their Facebook page for special events and offers.

The store is open Tuesday-Friday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., and they occasionally open on Sundays.
