Local church continues Easter meal giveaway tradition
BELLS, Tenn. — One local church holds their annual Easter meal giveaway earlier Thursday afternoon.
Knee Temple Church in Bells handed out free family Easter meals to local families and community members Thursday. The meals were provided by the Feed the Needy Foundation, based out of Memphis.
Arthur Brown, pastor of Knee Temple, shares that the church’s mission in life is giving.
“We do it to reach the community, maybe someone’s without food, someone in need, we try to meet every need because we are a giving church and that’s why we’re here because we love people and we love giving as Jesus did,” said Brown.
These meal giveaways occur every Easter and Thanksgiving.
