Annual Easter festival returns to Jackson

JACKSON , Tenn.—Local families celebrate Easter with a festival here in the Hub City.

The annual Easter Day Festival was held Saturday at Centennial Park located at 845 East Chester Street.

The festival began at 10 in the morning with lots of fun activities for all that attended.

The event presented by Hope Lodge #144 PHA offered egg hunts for the kids.

The hunts were divided into age groups, with all the participants searching for one of the 20 golden prize eggs available.

There were also several jumpers to enjoy, free food and games to participate in.

The event even featured the opportunity to meet Shalom the bunny.

“This is one of our give backs to the community projects. We’re hoping for a nice turn out. Every year has been a good turn out,” said Michael Greer Jr. Worshipful Master, Hope Lodge #144.

The festival happens every year in the Hub City and admission is free.
