Crawfest returns to the Hub City

JACKSON, Tenn.—A festival returns to Jackson to fulfill those crawfish cravings.

The annual Crawfest took place at Hub City Brewing Saturday. The festival began at 3 in the afternoon and continued until 8 in the evening.

The family friendly event offers up a tasty variety of foods including crawfish, shrimp, and all the delicious sides.

Those who aren’t seafood fans could also enjoy other items like burgers.

There was even a designated children’s area for playing.

Proceeds from the event will go towards the Scarlet Rope Project.

“It grows every year. Last year we had 1200 patrons come and support Scarlet Rope. This year, we think 1500 are going to show up. We bought 1200 pounds of crawfish, and 1500 pounds of shrimp, so it takes a lot of work to do that” said Julanne Stone, Executive Director, Scarlet Rope Project.

This annual event is presented by Scarlet Rope Project and Town & Country Realtors. This is its 8th year.
