RIFA says ‘thank you’ to volunteers with appreciation event
JACKSON, Tenn. — RIFA hosted its annual volunteer appreciation event Tuesday, presented by Cadence Bank and Love & Truth Church.
The event was held at Baker Bros BBQ to thank RIFA’s volunteers and recognize them for their dedication to the organization in the fight against hunger here in our community.
The 2025 volunteer award winners were recognized for their service over the past year, working in RIFA’s ministries including the soup kitchen, snack backpack, senior staples, thrift store and more.
“Everything that’s going on, it’s volunteer based, it’s heart based, it’s community based, and without it, none of this would be going on so we really hope that this event just lets all of these people know that you’re needed and you’re appreciated,” said Thomas Brown, senior warehouse manager for RIFA.
In 2024, RIFA volunteers logged more than 27,000 hours of service to the organization.
