Groundbreaking held in Paris for inclusive playground

PARIS, Tenn. — The Levi Miles Foundation, in partnership with the City of Paris, is proud to announce the development of a state-of-the-art inclusive playground at Ogburn park.

It’s a first-of-its-kind space where all children can play together! The foundation launched this initiative in 2024, which plans to develop a playground in Henry County where all children can play together.

The new playground will welcome children and families of all backgrounds and abilities. They have selected ‘Playworld Preferred’ to provide the playground’s inclusive design, equipment and surfacing materials.

This playground will be designed to remove physical and social barriers to inclusion and fit the community’s unique needs. It will promote the development of social-emotional, cognitive and physical well-being.

“Equipment will start showing up around early June, and we’re hoping to have a completed playground by Labor Day at the latest,” said David Miles, co-founder of The Levi Miles Foundation.

The overall estimated cost of this project is $2.5 million.
