JACKSON, Tenn. — As more riders hit the streets this spring, keeping safety front and center is more important than ever.
As Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month gets ready to kick off, Cycle Gear, Revzilla, and J&P cycles are bringing national attention to the second year of their ‘Airbags Save’ campaign.
It’s a multi-brand initiative focused on reducing motorcycle injuries through education and innovation. From helmet liners to AI powered wearable airbags, the ‘Airbags Save’ campaign showcases real solutions that are reshaping rider safety.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, motorcycle fatalities increased by 2% in 2023, with more than 6,200 lives lost in 2022 alone.
The administration also reports that in states without universal helmet laws, 54% of motorcyclists killed in 2022 were not wearing helmets, compared to 11% in states with universal helmet laws.
