Students learn broadcasting and production through the university’s radio station WUTM 90.3 “The Hawk.”

One student also detailed her experience through the program.

“One great thing about college is it also gives you a chance to experiment and figure out what you like. And just because you start in one major doesn’t mean you can’t change, and there’s truly something for everyone, and our department’s really good about that. It’s so versatile, and we have all sorts of students from different backgrounds, so it teaches us a lot we can use in our everyday lives,” said Carlin Cochran, communications student at UTM.

According to Robinson, several of their graduates have moved on to land successful jobs in a variety of fields.
