JSCC Athletics have 10 students sign on to four year colleges
Big day for Jackson state community college athletics.
As 10 of their student athletes signed on to a four year school.
So let’s start with softball as Elizabeth Vales signed on to play for
Midddle Georgia state, Emma McKenzie signed
to play for Bethel university, Ashlyn Berkley
who signed to play for bethel university as well,
Mallory Woodward who signed to play for the university
of Tennessee Southern and last but not least for softball
Madelyn Cornelius who is signing to play for Freed hardeman.
Now for women’s basketball Bailey Morris who will take her talents to Cumberlands
University and Kierstyn Beard who is heading to Saint Louis to attend
the university of health science and pharmacy. Next up lets go baseball
as both Garrett Lance and Gavin Alston will play for Blue mountain
college and for basketball was Jerry Taylor jr
who was not able to attend due to a prior engagement but will
take his talents to Bryant college. Athletic director Kevin Lynum
had this to say about their program and the student athletes.

“Their is not many places in the world that were going to get the level of support we’ve been able to receive from our administration here at Jackson State Community College and look, I’m telling you
this with them in the room, not in the room i dont care its the reality. Guys what you have done for
this institution what you have done for this athletic department cannot be duplicated and you will never be forgotten. I genuinely want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I love each and everyone of you and for everything you contribute and you continue to contribute to these
programs. “
