Strawberry sales begin at Green Acres Farms

MILAN, Tenn. — It’s spring which means it’s strawberry season!

Sales began Thursday at Green Acres Farm where they were selling freshly picked strawberries.

Customers from all over come out to the farm to buy their favorite seasonal berry.

The farm is located at 158 Highway 45-E in Milan.

They are still selling strawberries daily from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. or until they’re sold out.

“The strawberries are $40 for an 8 quart flat, $6 a quart. At the beginning of the season, yield may be a little lower but we hope to ramp up and be able to satisfy more customers as the year goes on,” said  Walker Parkins, farmer.

Organizers say they will post a notice when they have sold out and add that all strawberries are being sold at the farm at this time.
