Pope Francis rosary prayer held at St. Mary Major Basilica
JACKSON, Tenn. — Catholic faithful gathered in front of the Papal Basilica of St. Mary Major in Rome Friday night for a special rosary prayer ahead of Pope Francis’ funeral.
Following his will, the pontiff, who died at the age of 88 Monday, will be buried in St. Mary Major on Saturday after the funeral ceremony held in St. Peter’s Square.
Dozens of faithful and members of the clergy attended.
