NEWS RELEASE FROM CARROLL COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
For Immediate Release: April 22, 2025
The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce plans for the 2025 National Day of Prayer in Carroll County.
Please join us at the Carroll County Airport on Thursday, May 1, at 8:00 a.m. for the 2025 National Day of Prayer as we turn to the Father in prayer and reverence to His Holy name.
The 74th annual National Day of Prayer theme and scripture reference is,
“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13
Prayer has been an integral part of our lives for centuries, and the call to prayer is as relevant as ever. Ever since our nation’s founding, our leaders have called for days of prayer and thanksgiving. Originally signed into law by President Harry Truman in 1952, the National Day of Prayer in the United States is a day when people of all faiths are asked to pray for our nation.
The National Day of Prayer is a national observance in which anyone can participate, regardless of faith background. Over 40,000 prayer gatherings are held every year, which means that millions of people are taking part in this day of corporate and individual prayer and expression of their spiritual lives. This day of devotion is an opportunity to exalt the Lord and ask for His blessings for our nation, state, country, and our neighbors.
The general public is invited to attend. The event is sponsored locally by the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce.
