Golf fundraiser held in memory of a special little girl

PINSON, Tenn.—A golf tournament is held in one community in memory of a special little girl.

The Anna Lambert Memorial Golf Tournament was held Saturday in Pinson.

The event kicked off at 9 in the morning at Woodland Hills Golf and Country Club located at 2 Club House Drive.

During the tournament, 4 person teams competed for prizes.

The event was hosted in memory of Anna Lambert, who passed away from a heart condition.

The family felt it was important to host the tournament not only to remember Anna but as a fundraising opportunity.

The family wants to provide AEDs and support to other families, and organizations in hopes to save lives.

“You don’t really realize how important those devices are until you’re in a situation and you need one and there’s not one present. So, through her fund we’ve been able to donate AEDs to several family members who have children that have congenital heart defects. That includes children that have had a heart transplant or heart surgery,” said Tania Lambert, Anna’s mother.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the local Friends at Heart Organization.

The non-profit raises awareness to heart health, provides AED’s, also supporting cardiac medical providers and research efforts throughout West TN.
