Northside Assembly presents Friend Day
JACKSON, Tenn.—One local church invites community members to join in a day filled with worship and fun.
Sunday, Northside Assembly in Jackson hosts its Friend Day.
The event was filled with gospel music and a powerful message from Pastor Dave Melendez, entitled, “The Power of God’s Love.”
After the sermon, congregation members, family and friends were all invited to enjoy a day of fun activities.
This included jumpers for the kids, games, and a petting zoo. There was also delicious food provided.
“The message of it really is or the big picture rather, is all about friendship with God. During the message, we just talk about his heart for us, his heart for people, as well as the love that we share with each other. The idea is to kind of have a laid back atmosphere where we can just have conversations and just get to know each other better,” Pastor Melendez said.
Northside Assembly will host a special Mother’s Day service on May 11.
