City of Jackson discusses road work, more in monthly meeting
JACKSON, Tenn. — The City of Jackson had their monthly work session meeting to discuss sportplex updates, road work progress and more.
These meetings are a time for city council members and city leaders to ask questions about what’s going on in the city. Thursday night’s new business was an update on the sportsplex.
The city is in the works of adding new turf because of the increase of attraction it brings to the city. Along with that, road work is still going as planned.
However, the topic of trash is leaving a lasting impression on city leaders.
“I feel like we have come a very long way, but Jackson still is in need of each individual to be responsible for our trash,” said Marda Wallace, city alderwoman for Jackson.
They are asking for the help of residents to report those that are illegally dumping.
