Jackson Arts Council hosts ‘First Fridays’ downtown
JACKSON, Tenn. — Residents gathered in downtown Jackson to celebrate the arts and the ones who bring them to life.
The Jackson Arts Council partnered with Jackson Downtown Development for “First Fridays.” This is their first time hosting the event this year since they had to cancel in April due to weather concerns.
Attendees got to enjoy extended hours at downtown shops, explore art walk vendors, food trucks and live music.
“Our next art walk will be June 6 and it will be over in the Jackson walk area. Then we’re going to take a break in July and August because it’s really hot and we’ll start back up again in September,” said Erin Eller, officer manager for the Jackson Arts Council.
Leaders say they plan to host the event on the first friday of each month going forward.
