Author, former ‘Housewife’ debuts new book on helping busy moms
JACKSON, Tenn. — This Mother’s Day, how about something every mom needs — joy!
Experts say it is important to remember that mothers are not just caregivers, but also individuals with their own needs and aspirations.
Dr. Tiffany Moon, mom of twins and former “Real Housewife of Dallas,” says joy isn’t just a luxury — it is essential for women’s mental and physical health.
In her new book, “Joy Prescriptions,” Dr. Moon shares tips to help busy moms find calm in the chaos of everyday life.
“Asking for help is not a sign of weakness,” Dr. Moon said. “It is actually a sign of emotional maturity and leadership. I’ve started to tell other moms, ‘your self-care is non-negoiatable. We need to book that in your calendar as if it were an important meeting that you were having with your boss.'”
“Joy Prescriptions” is available now for purchase, and you can find it anywhere books are sold.
