JACKSON, Tenn. — Leaders with the Jackson-Madison County School System meet Thursday afternoon to address several issues on their agenda.
Some of the topics included an addendum to the budget for fiscal year 2026 and an additional year-end budget amendment.
Also at the board meeting, Madison Academic High School junior Samuel Latham was recognized for a perfect 36 on the ACT. He told us his plans for college.
“I’ve toured a couple universities — Vanderbilt is one that’s been on my mind. Not exactly decided on a major yet, considering business, finance, sports management something along those lines,” said Latham.
The addendums to the fiscal year 2026 budget were approved at the meeting.
With next year’s budget now finished, it will be sent to county leaders for their approval. School leaders will meet again in June.
