LEXINGTON, Tenn.—A fundraiser returns to Beech Lake in honor of a special young man.

The Tyler Spann 5k Hi Lighter Run & Walk took place Saturday evening.

The fundraiser is held in honor of Tyler Spann who tragically passed away from drowning while on vacation with his family.

This year participants lined up at 5 pm at Beech Lake located at Bob Henderson Drive in Lexington and the cost to enter was $18.

There was also a fun run and games for the kids, delicious fare available from various food trucks, and items for sale from local vendors.

This year’s event also featured area first responders and military participating, along with special guest State Rep. Brock Martin.
