Donald Ray “Don” Robinson
Donald Ray “Don” Robinson, 77, of Union City, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Baptist Health Paducah. Born on September 15, 1947, in St. Louis, Missouri, Don was the son of the late Jesse Franklin Robinson, Sr. and Willie Frances (Cribbs) Robinson. He was a devoted husband to Linda (Burkhart) Robinson, whom he married on June 26, 1969.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2025, in the chapel of Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home. Brother Eddie Mallonee will officiate. Burial will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Denver Storey, Mason Storey, Dylan Trout, Josh Robinson, Jeff Edmaiston and Allen Walker.
Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Edmaiston and Keith Todd.
Visitation will be held at Edmaiston Mosley Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of services Wednesday, May 14, 2025.
Don proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he dedicated 33 years to the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company before retiring. His passion for ministry led him to serve as a bi vocational Baptist minister, pastoring at Samburg Baptist Church and Liberty Baptist Church. He was an active member of the Second Baptist Church in Union City and a member of the Lamplighter Sunday School Class.
Don’s love for antique tractors and cars was evident through his involvement with the Antique Tractor Club and the E-Z Rodders Car Club of West Tennessee. He was an avid coon and squirrel hunter and enjoyed crappie fishing.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Linda Robinson; his son, Jon Robinson and his wife Jaimie of Nashville; his daughter, Allison Palmer and her husband Chris of Rives; his cherished granddaughters, Taylor Robinson and Bailey Robinson of Nashville, and Ella Palmer and Sophie Palmer of Rives; Don also leaves behind his siblings, Bonnie Edmaiston and her husband Eugene of Union City, Jean Welty and her husband Scott of St. Clair, Missouri, Pam Britt and her husband Keith of Union City, and Larry Robinson and his wife Judy of Union City; his mother-in-law, Marcella Bondurant of Union City; and his sister-in-law, Barbara Robinson of Union City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Glenda Davis and Joyce Todd, and a brother, Jesse Robinson, Jr.
