Heavy police presence gathers in north Jackson

UPDATE (5/13/25): Investigation ongoing into shots fired in Jackson neighborhood

JACKSON, Tenn. — A large police presence gathered in north Jackson Monday afternoon.

Just before 5 p.m., our WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News tipsters alerted us to a heavy police presence at the intersection of Wallace Road and Lennon Cove.

At least six squad cars with the Jackson Police Department responded and one K9 unit was deployed. Officers were seen searching an area behind a home.

We reached out the the Jackson Police Department, however, they were unable to provide a comment. Stay with us on air and online for possible updates to this story.
