‘The Gathering’ concert brings faith, community to Jackson

JACKSON, Tenn. — Hub City residents enjoy a night of music, faith and community.

‘The Gathering” was held earlier Monday at The Ned in downtown Jackson.

Guests got to enjoy an unforgettable evening filled with soul-stirring music, powerful inspiration and heartfelt community connection.

The gathering was hosted by Stellar Award nominee Vincent Tharpe and featured two talented artists, Kim Burrell and Darrell Petties.

“The mixture of musicians and singers that you have here they’ve been doing this all their lives and we’ve been actually putting on an actual event for about 5 years now,” said EJ Shelton, event organizer.

The evening also included special giveaways and a moving tribute to the Tyler Spann Foundation, which is celebrating safety and hope.
