VSS Dance Presents: Dancing in Candyland
Free Community Recital Celebrates 38 Years of Dance Excellence
Jackson, TN – VSS Dance is proud to invite the community to its 38th annual recital, Dancing in Candyland, a vibrant, family-friendly celebration of dance and imagination. This free performance will be held Sunday, May 18th at 2:00 PM at the Carl Perkins Civic Center in downtown Jackson.
This year’s production transforms the stage into a sugary wonderland, showcasing students of all ages—from toddlers taking the stage for the very first time to seasoned performers shining in competitive and advanced works. Featuring jazz, tap, ballet, hip-hop, musical theatre, and more, Dancing in Candyland is a colorful journey through movement and creativity.
“Each year, we celebrate not just dance, but the joy and growth that come from performing,” says Grayson Hart, Artistic Director of VSS Dance. “This recital is our way of giving back to the community that supports us and highlighting the incredible hard work of our students.”
The performance is free and open to the public. Doors open at 1:30 PM. Come experience the magic, support young artists, and enjoy an afternoon of unforgettable entertainment.
