Local event celebrates achievements made by JMCSS students, staff
JACKSON, Tenn. — The Greater Jackson Chamber of Commerce had their K-12 Education Connection Celebration Breakfast Tuesday morning.
Held at the Jackson Country Club, the event celebrated the achievements of Jackson-Madison County K-12 schools and educators.
The chamber asked Union University President Dub Oliver to share a word of inspiration.
“Course, this is the end of the year, so they’re probably a little tired from all of the good work they’ve done so I’m just trying to encourage them in what they do and the way they serve our community by loving our kids and educating our kids,” said Oliver.
President Oliver shared that, as a community, the hope is to celebrate and lift up educators and to acknowledge the good even while working on challenges.
