Henderson Utility Department issues boil water notice
PRESS RELEASE FROM THE HENDERSON UTILITY DEPARTMENT:
Press Release for Boil Water Notice
Due to the Main Repairs on Williams Road, part of Hill Avenue (outside of the city limit), part of Williams Road, Meadows Lane, and Meadows Access, there is reason to suspect that the water distributed may have been contaminated.
This only affects the customers in the areas listed above who lost water during this event.
Samples have been taken for testing, and you will be notified when the results of the samples are available.
Until further notice, customers are advised to boil water before using it for drinking or food preparation.
As a precautionary measure, customers should take the following steps:
1. Before boiling, the water should be strained through a clean cloth to remove any sediment or floating material.
2. The water should then be heated to a vigorous boil, and the rolling boil should be maintained for one minute to ensure disinfection.
Henderson Utility Department wishes to thank our customers for their patience and cooperation.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me at 731-989-3503.
Respectfully,
City of Henderson
David Russell
Assistant Utility Director
