Local Kennel Club Awards Scholarship at UT Martin
Scholarship to Benefit Vet Tech Students

Jackson, TN, May 14, 2025– The Jackson Tennessee Dog Fanciers Association, an affiliate club  with the American Kennel Club, created a scholarship beginning in 2024 to be awarded to a Vet Tech student at UT Martin.

We are proud to announce that the 2025 recipient of this scholarship  is Luke Stepney. Excerpts from Luke’s bio: 

My name is Luke Stepney, and I am a rising junior at The University of Tennessee at  Martin, majoring in Veterinary Science. This summer, I will be interning at Goodrum  Veterinary Clinic in Bethel Springs, Tennessee, where I look forward to gaining hands on experience in the field. After completing my undergraduate degree, I plan to attend  veterinary school and pursue my lifelong goal of becoming a veterinarian. 

I would also like to introduce my dog, Markie, who has been a big part of my journey  and inspiration in animal care. 

Thank you so much for selecting me as a recipient of the Jackson Tennessee Dog  Fanciers Association Scholarship. I am truly honored and grateful for your support as  I continue working toward my career in veterinary medicine.
