Bee Fest returns to Pinson Mounds
PINSON, Tenn.—Pinson Mounds buzzes with bee fans at the return of a popular festival.
The 2025 Bee Fest kicked off Saturday. The festivities took place from 10 in the morning until 3 in the afternoon at Pinson Mounds State Archaeological Park.
The event included a 5k and several opportunities to learn more about the importance of bees.
There were also craft vendors on site, offering the opportunity to shop all kinds of bee related items.
“We have two beehives here and me and the other ranger actually take care of them and then we get to sell our honey in the gift show whenever we have it. We don’t just have bees here. We have a lot of things that are celebrating all of our native pollinators and we have a festival here behind me, so we have a lot of people coming out today to see it,” said Dedra Ekberg, Park Ranger, Pinson Mounds.
Bee Fest takes place each year at Pinson Mounds and a portion of the 5k proceeds benefits their Honey Bee Project and other park programs.
