Positive Force Anchor of Hope Mentoring group hosts fishing clinic
JACKSON, Tenn.—One organization invites participants to cast a line and their cares away at a local fishing clinic.
The Positive Force Anchor of Hope Mentoring program presented its fishing clinic Saturday.
The event took place from 10 in the morning until 2 in the afternoon at the Jackson Fairgrounds.
It was a great turnout as participants of all ages and ethnicities casted a line and tried their hand at catching some fish.
The clinic’s mission is to have participants spend time not only learning to fish but to understand the other benefits like spending time with loved ones, and enjoying the peacefulness of the outdoors.
“Our main mission statement is to empower our youth to become positive and productive adults in our communities. They are growing each and every day and we are proud to have our young people from all over Jackson,” said Christopher Greer, Community Service Coordinator.
The fishing clinic has become an annual event for the Positive Force organization. And this is the third year for the event to take place in Jackson.
