McNairy Co. presents its Tennessee Law Enforcement Memorial

SELMER, Tenn.—Fallen officers and their families were honored in McNairy County at a special dedication ceremony.

The Tennessee Law Enforcement Dedication took place Saturday at the Robert K. Lee Justice Center in Selmer.

The event unveiled a memorial wall which includes the names of 796 fallen officers from the state of Tennessee.

“Please stop by. I think you’ll be amazed at what we’ve done here and take the time to look up an officer on the wall to find out how he lost his life. I always say that there’s 796 stories to be told here and I would like for all of them to be heard,” said Sheriff Guy Buck, McNairy Co. Sheriff’s Office.

The event was free and open to the public.

And family members of the fallen officers were also treated to a special meal following the ceremony.
