Jackson police officer, paramedic team up to save kitten
FROM THE JACKSON POLICE DEPARTMENT via Facebook (5/21/25):
Heartwarming story of rescue and compassion
City of Jackson, TN – Police Department Officer Taylor Gibbons went above and beyond the call of duty when she discovered a kitten drenched in a chemical cleaning agent this week. Without hesitation, the officer took immediate action to ensure the tiny animal got help.

Partnering with a City of Jackson, TN – Fire Department paramedic, Gabrielle Pride, they made sure the kitten was washed thoroughly to eliminate the toxic substance. Thanks to their quick thinking and teamwork, the kitten is secure, clean, and recovering.
The best part? The same paramedic who helped save the kitten has now stepped up to adopt it, giving this little survivor a second chance and a loving home.
Thank you to our first responders for not only protecting our community but also showing compassion for every life—big and small.
Thank you, Officer Gibbons and Paramedic Pride.
