Ballet Arts of Jackson presents inaugural Academy Showcase

JACKSON, Tenn. — One local organization presents a special talent event Friday evening.

Ballet Arts, Inc. of Jackson presented its inaugural Ballet Academy Showcase at The Ned in downtown Jackson.

The showcase highlighted dancers of all ages and gave them a change to perform what they have been practicing all year.

Along with the many routines, they also performed act II of Swan Lake.

“I grew up doing ballet and am Ballet Arts alumni and so that’s what really sparked my joy of dance and decided to take it to a professional career and then I wanted to come home and really just guide these dancers and be a part of it again in a different way,” said Caroline Meinert, artistic director for Ballet Arts, Inc. of Jackson.
