JMC Library kicks off summer with ‘School’s Out Party’
JACKSON, Tenn. — School’s out for summer and to celebrate the Jackson-Madison County Library hosted a School’s Out Party Friday.
The party was for teens ages 13 through 19 and was held in the teen area of the library.
Various activities included an ice cream party and a Fortnite tournament.
“During the tournament, you have to be 13 to 19. You have to have a library card. So, if you don’t have a library card you can’t use the library computers, but library cards are free. If you need a card, we can help you sign up for one and if you are under 17 you need a parent,” said Jessica Carter, teen services manager.
Refreshments such as popcorn and lemonade were available throughout the day.
