Jackson-Madison County NAACP host 62nd annual Freedom Fund Banquet

JACKSON, Tenn.—The Jackson-Madison County NAACP branch hosted its 62nd Freedom Fund Banquet Sunday evening.

The event took place at Carl Perkins Civic Center beginning at 4.

Following dinner service guests enjoyed an evening that included a message from keynote speaker Bishop Marvin Frank Thomas, Sr.

Thomas is the 62nd Bishop of the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church.

There was also an awards presentation recognizing several individuals for their various achievements and contributions to the local community.

The NAACP and its numerous branches work to change lives, focusing on civil rights, empowerment and the fight against social injustice.
