Natchez Trace Park hosts Pin Oak Pontoon Cruise

WILDERSVILLE, Tenn. — To celebrate Memorial Day, Natchez Trace State Park hosted a special event on the lake.

Natchez Trace State Park in Wildersville is a popular spot for celebrating Memorial Day weekend.

Even though the weather has paused many outdoor activities, it didn’t stop campers from enjoying their long weekend at the park.

Earlier Monday afternoon, attendees joined park rangers as they embark on a pontoon tour along the beautiful Pin Oak Lake.

We spoke with park rangers about what guests can expect from the experience.

“Depending on the ranger, depending on their knowledge and their skill base, they’ll discuss different topics they’re familiar with. In particular, I’m a history major so I like to go over park history also kind of why the park and the forest were created in the first place,” said Jefferey Johnson, park ranger for Natchez Trace State Park.

They also have more summer events coming soon including Natchez Day, which is June 21. For a list of upcoming events, click here.
